2.Lubricant Oil

Lubricant oil is used to reduce friction and loss during the operation unit components. Meanwhile, it can enhance the effective power of the unit and prolong the life of the unit. Besides, lubricant oil can seal, cool, wash, absorb shock and prevent rust.

3.Refrigerant and Antifreeze Fluid

Except being used for cooling, the refrigerant for motor of modern diesel generator unit has to solve 4 other problems including cavitation erosion, chemical corrosion, electrochemical corrosion and scale deposit. Refrigerant is a mixture of water and antifreeze fluid. As of the different resources of water, the constituent and purity differs, please pay attention to the following aspects:
1.Don’t use water from well, nor waste water;
2.Don’t leave it alone, open the radiator cap and check and then replace the refrigerant if there is a foreign matter, incrustation scale or deposit.
3.Don’t run without water.
4.Don’t open the cap rashly to prevent high-temperature water from splashing and burning. Turn the unit to idle speed, wait until the temperature of the motor comes down, and then open the cap to charge the refrigerant. (If time is short, use wet cloth to cover the radiator cap, and then cover the wet cloth with a wet towel, open the cap slowly. Add the refrigerant slowly.)
5.Don’t spill water onto the motor when refilling water.
6.Don’t forget add antifreeze fluid into the refrigerant, which can raise the boiling point of refrigerant.
7.Avoid direct contact with antifreeze fluid by human body. Antifreeze fluid and additive agents are poisonous, please avoid direct contact and keep in safe place. Don’t reuse the discharged refrigerant, or dispose it strictly according to relevant laws.  
8.Don’t mix antifreeze fluids of different types, otherwise chemical reaction may occur easily. Instruction of Refrigerant and Antifreeze Fluid.
 

4.Filter

Filter can protect the machine effectively, prolong the service life and reduce operation cost. Usually, generator unit has air filter, engine oil filter and fuel filter.

Instruction on usage and maintenance of filter:
When maintain the filter, the 2 rubber ring seal at the ends of filter cartridge and the oil shield shall be dissemble and kept cautiously. Without the seal and the oil shield, the filter will no long work.
When dissemble and assemble, don’t reverse the position of tray and spring or lose the spring, otherwise the oil outlet on the cap of the filter will remain open, the diesel enters into the injection pump without being filtered.
The filter paper of inferior filter is loose in quality and the micropore is too big to filter, which creates a false impression that the diesel used is very clean. Please pay special attention.
